EatSmart Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Backlit 3.5″ Display and Oversize Platform Review

Now I’m sure most of us have scales in our house that we usually either daily, weekly, and hopefully at least monthly to monitor our weight gain/loss. The thing is most scales aren’t accurate, and the ones that are usually cost way too much. I came across this EatSmart scale and have decided to review it. It appears at first glance to be a good quality scale that won’t break the budget. Is it? Well you’re about to find out. Continue reading…

Now I know many of you may have not heard of the Neti Pot before even though it was on Oprah (and everyone in the world supposedly watches her show, right?). But for something that costs so little and offers so much, I had to at least give it a shot.

Here is the breakdown of what the Neti Pot claims to do:

Relieves Allergies & Sinus Symptoms

  • Nasal Allergies & Dryness
  • Sinus Pressure & Nasal Stuffiness
  • Nasal Symptoms from Flu & Cold
  • Nasal Irritation from Occupational Dust, Fumes, Animal Dander, Grass, Pollen, Smoke, & House Dust
  • Post Nasal Drip & Nasal Congestion

Now for $14.99 at any local store (I got this one at Walgreens) I thought it was worth the try. You get 50 free packets with it which are easy to dispense USP Grade (99.9% Pure) and Preservative Free Sodium Chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate mixture. It is pH balanced & isotonic for maximum comfort. Continue reading…

Escali Primo Digital Kitchen Scale Review

By Derek Howes on Oct 14th, 2009 in Product Reviews, Reviews | Permalink | 2 comments

Something I recommend to every client I have trained is that they buy a digital a scale. The reason for this is that “eying” a serving size is usually not even close to accurate unless you have used a scale for awhile. Now there are 50,000 choices when it comes to digital scales and lots of them cost way too much for what they are.

When I was first in the market for a scale I searched for a few days and came across a $25.00 scale at Amazon.com which had great reviews AND free shipping. This was nearly $30-40 less than anything else I saw. I ended up buying it.

Blender Bottle Protein Shaker Review

blenderbottle

All of us have tried those “free” bottles we get with purchases or random other bottles you pick up along the way. I got sick and tired of the bottles leaking or falling apart inside the dish washer. I went ahead and purchased a few blender bottles…this was more than a YEAR ago I purchased these blender bottles. To this day and after 100′s of times in the dish washer, besides being a little discolored, still works just like the day I bought it. No leaks, no falling apart, no nothing. The blender bottle is by far the best protein shaker/mixer out there today. I cannot give enough praise to it. They are a bit expensive but totally worth it, you can sometimes find deals though if you purchase more than one.

Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster Review

By Derek Howes on Oct 13th, 2009 in Product Reviews, Reviews | Permalink | Leave a comment

So I’m walking through the store looking for random stuff to buy in Target, I do this every so often. I then see that they have back in stock the Egg & Muffin Toaster from Back to Basics, I figure “why not?” and buy it. Then I hopped over to get some eggs, bacon, and whole wheat english muffins. When I got home I was actually pretty excited to try this thing…maybe it’s because I’ve been on a strict diet lately and have been looking for something new to eat or maybe I’m just weird? Anyways, here’s some pictures and a review for your enjoyment:
