I got the opportunity to review these Shot Bloks this past weekend. Basically what they are is the latest nutrition option for endurance athletes. Bloks come in chewable, 33 calorie cubes, making it easy to customize and track caloric and electrolyte intake during long outings and races. I’ve been getting sick of protein bars lately so I ended up picking up these. They have 20 grams of protein and are about twice the size of a Whopper candy. The question you’re probably asking is, “do they taste as good as a Whopper?”.

The other day I happen to be in a Vitamin Shoppe and saw these things. I’m normally not a fruit flavored protein drinker since most of it tastes chalky but for some reason I decided to give this drink a try, and I’m glad I did. With 120 calories, 30 grams of protein, 1 gram of carbs, and 0 grams of fat, there’s not much to complain about. The sodium is even low at 45mg. It also contains 7.8g BCAAs. Now I’m sure most of us have scales in our house that we usually either daily, weekly, and hopefully at least monthly to monitor our weight gain/loss. The thing is most scales aren’t accurate, and the ones that are usually cost way too much. I came across this EatSmart scale and have decided to review it.
