A few days ago I reviewed the Promax Black Forest Cake Protein Bar and gave it a pretty high praise in terms of taste. When I went to the store today I couldn’t help but grab another flavor by Promax (they are one of the cheapest bars out there). I did say the Black Forest Cake bar was one of the best tasting protein bars I’ve ever had…well, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor is no different. If you could somehow put your favorite flavor cookie dough ice cream inside a protein bar, this would be close to the flavor it came out with. If you stick this inside your freezer for a good 20-30min it tastes even better.

The nutrition on this bar is pretty similar to the other bar I reviewed: 200 calories, 7g of fat, 38g of carbs, and 20g of protein. If Promax could somehow lower the sugar in the bar and the fat slightly, this bar would be added to my “eat everyday” list. It’s big enough not to crave another and tastes good enough to give you the sanity boost. Ingredient list needs to be cut down although for something you eat every now and then nothing stands out too much.

I would not eat this everyday due to the high sugar content (24g, even if it is sugar alcohol), but every now and then it would be fine. This is one of the best tasting protein bars you can eat

• Taste: 10/10 (by far the best tasting protein bar I’ve ever had)
• Cost: 9/10 ($1.39 one of the cheaper protein bars)
• Healthiness: 6.5/10 (needs a drop in sugar and a slight drop in fat)
