Great for the traps/core. If you’re stuck at a plateau with your overhead pressing this is also a good exercise to push you past it.

Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon Review

On my quest to try more bacon, I purchased a package of Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon yesterday while at Stop and Shop. If you recall, I previously reviewed Oscar Mayer Canadian Bacon and loved it. So, how does this bacon compare to Oscar Mayer’s?

Quite good, actually. In fact, I prefer this bacon over Oscar Mayer’s. It has a stronger, more flavorful “bacon” taste to it, and the actual size of the bacon seems to be slightly bigger than Oscar Mayer’s as well.

Walden Farms Calorie Free Ranch Dressing Review

By Derek Howes on Oct 14th, 2009 in Condiment Reviews, Reviews | Permalink | Leave a comment

Now if there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that a salad is better with some sort of dressing on it. One of my favorites is Ranch, which I will review here.

What more could we ask for? Fat free, sugar free, AND a calorie free ranch dressing from Walden Farms. Before this, at best, I may have found a “fat free” ranch with 40 calories per serving that tasted alright. This however turns the pages, it’s not only calorie free but has the taste of a “decent” ranch dressing.

Last week I decided to purchase a box of Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Sausage Patties. While the sausage patties lived up to their taste, a number of things made me question whether or not I would buy them again.

Escali Primo Digital Kitchen Scale Review

By Derek Howes on Oct 14th, 2009 in Product Reviews, Reviews | Permalink | 2 comments

Something I recommend to every client I have trained is that they buy a digital a scale. The reason for this is that “eying” a serving size is usually not even close to accurate unless you have used a scale for awhile. Now there are 50,000 choices when it comes to digital scales and lots of them cost way too much for what they are.

When I was first in the market for a scale I searched for a few days and came across a $25.00 scale at Amazon.com which had great reviews AND free shipping. This was nearly $30-40 less than anything else I saw. I ended up buying it.

Oscar Mayer Canadian Bacon Review

canadianbacon

I picked up a package of Oscar Mayer Canadian Bacon this week to try out on my egg sandwich (made using the Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster that I reviewed earlier this month). This was my first time trying Canadian Bacon.

I chose this bacon because 1) it was the only available pre-cooked bacon at my grocery store and 2) it was the only bacon I could find in round form which would sit perfectly on top of my egg. I have to say – it tastes pretty good. It definitely has a different taste compared to “normal” bacon.

Try and remember to the forehead = more medial/lateral tri stress, behind the head = more long head tri stress (some also call this a lying tri extension).
