Uncle Bens Wild Whole Grain Brown Ready Rice Review

If you haven’t read my previous article on Uncle Bens Chicken Whole Grain Brown. In this post I will review the flavor “Brown & Wild”.
A lot of people seem to be in a rush these days, or not have any patience for cooking…I am one of them. Brown rice usually takes awhile to cook and you end up having to clean up, so I figured why not look for an alternative, everything seems to have one nowadays. What I found was microwavable Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain Brown Rice. It comes in a variety of flavors, I bought one of them to try. I mean who can complain about a 90-second-to-make brown rice with no clean up? You simply tear the top, no water needs to be added, and throw it in the microwave. I had to try it.

When the rice comes out of the microwave it smells like rice with a “zing” to it. This brown & wild rice has more of a natural smell to it than the chicken rice. As for the taste on this, it’s just as good as the chicken rice. It is seasoned with herbs and spices which gives it a different taste than the chicken rice. Although different, it still tastes great.
There are a few other flavors I will review once I try them also.
Overall Review:
- Taste: 9/10 (The chicken flavor is still my favorite so I had to rank this one lower)
- Cost: 10/10 ($1.50 a pack)
- Healthiness: 9/10 (It’s whole grain brown rice, the sodium is up there but that’s a given for what it is)
